Working together to make a difference.

Integration at the workplace is our goal!

VR Career Camp

What a great opportunity for clients to learn employment SKILLS TRAINING DURING ONE WEEK IN THE SUMMER!  Our clients experience two full days of interaction with managers and business owners during this workshop, in which they gain knowledge of how businesses operate from those with real-world experience and expertise.  Each client leaves the camp with the knowledge of how to put together a resume, where they’ll end up with 5 take-home copies for themselves! Resume building is just one of the many topics covered at our Career Camp, where all of our projects are designed to give our clients the most productive experience possible.  Thanks for this great opportunity!

Direct Deposit for our On the Job Training (OJT) Clients

Starting the first week of August, NSES will be offering Direct Deposit to our OJT clients.  Doing so, they will see the reward of their job much more quickly. Direct Deposit will eliminate problems with checks, such as getting lost in the mail, making the process easier for everyone.

NSES Success Story:

Caritina DeLa Cruz

Caritina is so grateful to have this opportunity to do her OJT at Collins Aerospace Winslow Life Raft. She is pictured with Matt Morgan, the HR manager at Collins Aerospace.  Mr. Morgan has been very instrumental in getting this OJT up and running at Collins Aerospace.  He is very excited to be able to work with our clients. Caritina specifically asked to work in the office as a file clerk.  She did such a good job her first week that the Plant manager went to Matt Morgan, the HR director, to compliment him on such a good pick for all of the office help she’s been able to provide.  He said Caritina was doing such a good job and that he was grateful to have her.  They have a backlog of paperwork in the office, from which Caritina has helped immensely with.  Caritina spends her day removing staples, scanning, copying and filing the paperwork, so it goes without saying that she stays very busy.  The other two girls in the office, Wendy and Kristin, greatly appreciate Caritina’s help and are there to help her any time she needs assistance.  Caritina enjoys her job and really likes the fact that she is appreciated for the work she is able to do.  She is looking forward to learning more and helping them in a more extensive way. Great job Caritina!

Business of the Month

KUDOS to Matt Morgan, HR Manager at COLLINS AEROSPACE.  Mr. Morgan gave VR and NSES the opportunity to have some of our clients do an internship (OJT) with them at Collins Aerospace.  Mr. Morgan has shown how much he cares by giving our clients the opportunity to work in such a great company. His knowledge of how to work with our clientbase shows!  Mr. Morgan is very patient and understanding of each client’s unique situation. Thank you for all your patience in the process that helps ensure that each and every one of our clients have the best experience possible.  Thank you again for this great opportunity. We are changing lives, together!

We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to help our clients gain applicable work experience through the OJT programs we have in place. With the help of our Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) counselors, our clients work together as a TEAM to get the knowledge they need to be successful in the workplace. Kudos to the Vocational Rehabilitation staff for all that they do!
